Top 5 Favorite Spots in Minot ND

Minot is a pretty small town filled with so much character.  Out of all the places there is to go in the Magic City, there are five that are my favorite!

  1. Oak Park

When it’s not snowing and there’s negative degree temps outside, outside is where you’ll want to be in Minot. There is a playground for kids, a hidden campsite and home of a local farmer’s market. This is a great place to have a nice stroll on a warm day.

2. Minot Public Library

Not only are there so many books, but there are so many free programs that are offered at the Minot Public Library. On quiet Saturdays mornings, there is “color me happy,” a stress free adult coloring party. On Saturday evenings, there is the “Minot Story Hour” were people can share their story and experiences through art. This is a great place to meet interesting people or hideaway and escape in a new book.

3. Margie’s

A downtown spot that is popular among all the locals. At Margie’s you can sip on some North Dakota Tea and get creative with pottery. Some projects can take weeks to complete, others can take a day. Margie’s is a great hub for creatives to let their juices flow.

4. The Tap Room

A great hole in the wall spot for friends. This isn’t an average bar but a place for friends and family to converse and play games! Come on, who doesn’t like playing board games?!

5. Woodland Trails

I’m a sucker for anything that has to do with nature. This was my favorite place to come and reflect, pray and sit still. Halfway through the trail there is a dock that sits on the river that many people go for fishing.

There are a lot of things to do in Minot and a lot of places to see. This place seriously is magical.
