The Secret To Getting A Job After Graduation

Ok, Ok, I lied. I don’t know the secret to securing a job after graduation. (But if you know who does, holla at ya girl!) However, I do know the secret to coping with life after college without a job secured. Of course the “real world” seems like a scary term. The first things you may think about is: bills, loans, career, and happiness. Stress, Stress, Stress! However, it doesn’t have to be that way. Sure, it seems like a lot is on your plate in your adult hood but here are a few tips I learned that has helped me ease into the real world.

1. Breath

Take a breather before you over think things. However, don’t just go along with the flow. Have a plan. Have a backup plan. Have a goal in what you want to succeed in and execute that goal.

Take it one step at a time. Sometimes when we have a goal or project to complete we try to
rush it and move on to the next challenge.

But, when we do this we miss some on the moments
we should take in in life. So, take a breather and move through life one step at a time while
enjoying the happiness that comes along the way.

2. Pray

You may not be as spiritual as I am. But prayer definitely helps me. And I’m sure it will help you too. Prayer provides peace of mind through stressful situations and moments of clarity. You may not know your plan at all after college.

And the best thing about that is…That’s great! And if you you do have plans after college..That’s great too! By not having plans is the perfect opportunity for God to reconstruct your life in the way He wants it to be.

Follow his plans and I PROMISE you, you will never fail. If you do have plans, ask God if the plans and goals you have line up with His desire for you. Ask God to manifest the desires of your heart that lines up with His for you. There is something so satisfying and exciting when obeying the Will of God!

3. Write your vision, and make it plan

Build up you goals. Start with making a goal every day.

Whether your first goal is to brush your teeth or make up your bed, make sure you complete that small task. While you are completing your task complete it don’t force it. What is meant for you will be with a little work behind it. Increase your goal set when you’re ready and watch the fruits of your labor produce.

4. Make Connections along the way
If this is your final years of college or a recent college graduate don’t be afraid to get out there
and meet new people. You’d be surprise with the people and things that will affect you
positively by stepping out of your comfort zone.

I know we’ve all heard it before, “It’s not about what you know, but who you know.” Well it’s true! Reach out to people, make connections and
network!

Let me know what you want to do after college!

Sincerely,

Chloe
