How It Feels To Be 22 & Jobless

Hi, I’m Chloe. I am a Christian. I am now 22 years old. I am Black. I am a College Graduate. I am a Blogger. And I am Jobless.

Today, July 22 is my BIRTHDAY. Woo-Hoo! Somebody call Oprah it’s time to celebrate!!  Many people on birthdays ask..”Well how do you feel?”

Honestly I can say though I don’t have a career, no new car, no salary…I feel GREAT!

I am so grateful to reach a new year of life! Did I think this is where I would be in life right now? No. Am I satisfied? No. Am I confident that God will provide for me? Yes.

For some people who graduate college without a career started may feel depressed or hopeless. Once you graduate you feel like the world is yours and you can accomplish anything!

Well, I feel TOTALLY different than how some other college graduates might feel because I have something called FAITH.

I believe that God has something great in store for me. In fact I know it. It feels great to be 22 years old and fully surrender your life to Christ. Not knowing where you are headed next but knowing you are headed towards somewhere great.

Even though I do not have my career yet I feel an overwhelming emotion of patience and hope. I am thankful that I don’t have jealousy in my heart towards anyone who is living out there dreams right now.  Instead, I have nothing but happiness for them. And I know I can’t have that on my own.

Now, I can’t say I have always had strong faith or peace about my situations but through prayer and thanksgiving I am able to believe in what God can do not what I can do.

I want to encourage you and let you know that though you may not be where you want to be see where you want to be and pray that God directs your path. You may not have the things you want in life but embrace positivity and ask God to show you what His desires are for you and TRUST HIM. He will never lead you astray. He has the perfect plan for you and by following it you will NEVER fail.

I hope this post really encourages you through whatever situation you might be going through.

I truly feel blessed to see 22!

Sincerely,

Chloe
